November 3, 2025 (Majuro, RMI) – The 77th PIHOA Executive Board Meeting officially opened today, bringing together Pacific health leaders for a week of collaboration, reflection, and planning. The morning began with a heartfelt spiritual devotion, followed by inspiring welcoming remarks from PIHOA Interim President Theresa Arriola. The CMI Youth Leadership Council delivered a powerful message underscoring the importance of investing in the next generation of public health leaders across the Pacific.
While President Hilda C. Heine was unable to attend, PIHOA extends our deep appreciation to the Office of the President and the RMI Ministry of Health and Human Services (MOHHS) for their partnership and for hosting the 77th EBM.
In the afternoon, board members shifted into strategic planning sessions—reflecting on PIHOA’s 40 years of service to the region and charting priorities to strengthen public health systems over the coming decades.
The day concluded with a board dinner hosted by RMI MOHHS—a time to connect, recharge, and continue strengthening the relationships that drive our shared mission toward healthier, more resilient island communities.
