On July 1, 2020, a special virtual session on the pandemic’s impact on Island communities in the United States was held. In an effort to link USAPI health officials with their stateside counterparts, the ASTHO (Association of State and Territorial Health Officials) and the CDC led a special meeting of stakeholders in collaboration with PIHOA. USAPI health officials from American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia were joined by state health officials from Alaska, Arkansas, Hawai’i, Oregon, and Washington.
