September 26, 2025 (Hagåtña, Guam) – In partnership with local health leaders, PIHOA and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), proudly announces the approval of three new National Health Service Corps (NHSC) sites across Guam.
The newly approved sites are:
- American Medical Center 1 (Upper Tumon)
- American Medical Center 2 (Mangilao)
- Todu Guam Foundation Mobile Clinic
With these additions, Guam now has a total of eight (8) NHSC-approved facilities, joining Todu Guam Foundation Health Clinic, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) Northern and Southern Regional Community Health Centers, the Seventh-day Adventist Clinic, and the Guam Department of Corrections.
This expansion reflects a strong commitment by Guam’s health leaders to improving access to care and addressing workforce shortages. NHSC-approved facilities are eligible to recruit and retain highly qualified health professionals through NHSC programs, which provide loan repayment and scholarship opportunities as incentives for service commitments in underserved areas like Guam.
For more information about NHSC programs, site eligibility, and upcoming opportunities in Guam, visit the official NHSC website at https://nhsc.hrsa.gov or contact the Pacific Basin Primary Care Office Coordinator, Dr. Angela Techur-Pedro, at angiet@pihoa.org.
