USAPI NCD Surveillance Data

In 2010, PIHOA Board Resolution #48-01 Declared a Regional State of Health Emergency Due to the Epidemic of Non-Communicable Diseases in the USAPI. In 2012, an NCD Surveillance Framework was developed and endorsed by USAPI health leadership to identify core NCD indicators to be collected consistently across the USAPI to monitor NCDs in the region and evaluate the NCD response. The PIHOA NCD Surveillance Framework requires the routine collection of core NCD indicators from youth through high school surveys, adults through population-based surveys, premature mortality rates due to NCDs from vital statistics, and NCD core policy uptake monitoring. Below you will find local reports containing these data and websites where these data can be accessed.
